THE JASMINE REVOLUTION
During Spring of 2011, after the so-called Jasmine Revolution, Tunisia had no more tourists and in many areas there were no Tunisians as well. A quite unique circumstance that gave the roman imperial ruins a metaphysical atmosphere, something between De Chirico and Piranesi.
An unknown harmony between absence and presence. I could not have asked for anything more beautiful if not its exact opposite. How would they look like if surrounded by crowds or climbing monkeys everywhere?
