A great fortune is a musical-documentary that unfolds on a fiction path. The project originates by a request by Eagle Pictures and Piemonte Region of both a promotional and yet authorial documentary that would describe the territory and its enological patrimony. With producer Marco Gallo, the directors wrote a story that basically express itself throughout the images and the soundtrack. A hybrid movie that sings love for voyage, a tribute to the “on the road” tradition, set on the hills of Piemonte. Starring Matt is a modern hobo, thrown in old Europe. He constantly walks, crosses mountains, lakes, hills and railways. His encounters mark his growth and his existential surprise, these could have been old painters, attractive female rangers, farmers, night animals, witches and truffle hunters. The intention was to move from an idea of assignment bounded to Piemonte’s territory to compose a humanistic and surreal fairytale.
